• Tecomet® 420 Stainless Steel (SS) Bridgeback Reamers

Advances in material and teeth design have guided the development of the 420 SS Bridgeback Reamer with unmatched sharpness retention, durability and cutting consistency (Dr. Susan Capps, PHD, Performance Evaluation of Symmetry 420 SS Acetabular Reamers, February 2006).

With twenty percent more teeth than the competition, precise cutting tolerance helps provide consistent cutting performance and optimal implant fit. Test results have demonstrated Tecomet® Acetabular Reamers are 40 percent more durable than the competitive reamers (Sherry Lab, SMI 420SS Blast Reamers, July 25, 2005).

420 SS Reamers are available individually by size or in complete sets to accommodate various patient anatomies.

  • Tecomet® Hybrid Reamers

Tecomet®'s Hybrid Reamers are designed for use in minimally invasive or open total hip arthroplasty.

The unique three point connection method provides a secure connection between the driver and reamer while minimizing the incision needed for the procedure. Surgeon visibility into the acetabulum is increased by eliminating connection "bars" on the back of the reamer.

Elongated teeth combined with Tecomet®'s Smooth-Cut tooth design provides precise, full hemisphere reaming.

Hybrid Reamers are available individually or as a complete set.

Full reamer size range in 1mm increments from 36 mm to 80 mm are available to accommodate various patient anatomies.

  • Tecomet® Parabolic Acetabular Reamers

The Tecomet® Parabolic Acetabular Reamer is the newest solution for reaming during Minimally Invasive Hip (MIH) Surgery.

The low-profile reamer inserts into the MIH incision smoothly, which helps minimize damage to the surrounding skin and soft tissue.

Reamer tooth geometry provides a smooth hemispherical acetabular surface as demonstrated by our Standard Bridgeback Acetabular Reamer while meeting the low-profile requirements of MIH exposure. The distinct reamer back design is intended to help reduce potential interference with retractors within the wound site.

Parabolic Reamers are compatible with all drivers featuring the patented Tecomet® Bridgeback interface.

  • Tecomet® Dual Connection Offset Acetabular Reamers Drivers

The Tecomet® Offset Reamer Driver is used during THA surgery to easily introduce acetabular reamers to the hip joint. The driver features a drive shaft designed and tested to meet the demands of THA surgery (A comprehensive test report available upon request).

The three-piece design incorporates a handle assembly and two half shells that disassemble to allow easy access to the drive mechanism for cleaning. The modular design facilitates easy cleaning and steam sterilization process.

The Reamer Driver connects to Tecomet® 420SS Acetabular Reamers as well as the Low-Profile Parabolic Reamers.

  • Tecomet® Bridgeback Easy Clean Drivers

Our Bridgeback Easy Clean Driver is durable, ergonomic and features a secure disassembly mechanism for easy cleaning.

Available in Hudson and Tri-Shank end connection, the Easy Clean Driver provides quick and easy head attachment and features a slimmed down shaft for improved visibility.

The available Tissue Protector designed to accomodate the various Easy Clean Reamer Driver lengths.

Standard and extended driver lengths available.

  • Tecomet® Straight Apex Connection Reamers Drivers

The Tecomet® Straight Apex Connection Reamer Driver improves vision into the acetabulum by eliminating the connection bars on the reamer.

The open back design promotes cleanability of the reamer and driver.

The Apex Driver connection is specific to Tecomet® Hybrid Reamers.

  • Tecomet® Straight Cup Impactors

Tecomet®'s Straight Cup Impactor is a reusable hand held instrument designed for use by orthopedic surgeons specifically for the purpose of manipulating and implanting acetabular cup components during Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA) surgery.

Modified to fit your custom acetabular cup implant thread connection, our New Product Development team will evaluate your cup design to determine the appropriate fit including the required sleeve geometry to assure proper fit.

A standard Anteversion Guide with 15 degree anteversion and 45 degree abduction is available for purchase.
